Franchise Checklist

1. Complete Part I: GALC’s Readiness Quiz & review GALC’s Readiness Feedback Analysis.  
2. Review Part II of the introductory packet & complete a telephone conference, if applicable.  
3. Submit the enclosed confidential application from Part II of the introductory packet.  
4. Visit GALC to learn the center operation and review GALC’s Manual, including the Offering Circular and Franchise Agreement.  
5. Confirm that you want to become the owner of a GALC franchise.  
6. 6. Execute the Franchise Agreement & satisfy the Franchise Fee.  
7. Receive GALC’s itemized preparation checklist.  
8. Become "legal" in the corporate world.  
9. Find site and obtain lease and insurance.  
10. Order personalized items, exterior sign, academic supplies and stock.  
11. Advertise.  
12. Hire the GALC staff.  
13. Celebrate your Grand Opening with a 3 month pre-sell (May-July).  

1. GALC’s Readiness Quiz and Readiness Feedback Analysis – Part I of the franchise process is to determine if a GALC or GALA is right for you.

2. Review Part II of the introductory packet – The remaining materials in the introductory packet can help finalize your decision to own a GALC or GALA franchise. Please feel free to call corporate office with any questions and concerns.

3. Confidential application – This is not a contract of any kind. Just an introduction as to who you are.

4. Center operation visit – It is time to visualize that GALC or GALA can be exciting, fun, and profitable. Owning a GALC or GALA will be the most rewarding career move you will ever make. You will learn to create personalized student programs and review our Offering Circular, Franchise Agreement, and forms. The Franchise Offering Circular and Franchise Agreement will explain in detail everything you need to know regarding your new business.

5. Decision – I will help you with every aspect of this business…except this one. You must confirm that you wish to own a GALC or GALA franchise.

6. Executed the Franchise Agreement – Please note that the franchise fee is due at this time. Upon receipt, you are permitted to use GALC or GALA’s name, logo and service trademark.

7. Itemized Preparation Checklist – This itemized checklist will take you through every step needed to open your GALC or GALA franchise.

8. Become “legal” in the corporate world – If you are a first time business owner, I will assist you in completing the legalities. Please have access to a fax machine and three-way telephone calling.

9. Find your site – This is your business…where do you want it? I will help you decide on an optimal location for your center. I will assist with lease and insurance procedures as well.

10. Personalized Items – You must obtain a business telephone number before personalized items are printed. Exterior sign – At this time, your exterior sign must be made. I will assist in this procedure. Interior of Center – An itemized, detailed list of academic and office supplies, along with a “Copy Masters” Packet will be provided. This packet will include all GALC or GALA forms needed to run your center easily and efficiently. If you ever need a master form replaced or revised, feel free to contact me. I will be happy to assist you. This is the part that I will alleviate all of your pressures. After meeting with me, you will see how my assistance will make this a business worth the investment. Your legwork has been done. The academic materials, furniture and supply lists have been done and pre-placed for your convenience. This is usually the most stressful part, wondering how to stock your center. Let me assure you that this is where I step in to alleviate any feelings of pressure or insecurities.

11. Advertise – When it is time to advertise, I will provide cost effective techniques that have the greatest circulation.

12. Hire the GALC staff – It is suggested that you acquire a staff specializing in different areas. A successful business is made up of a successful team.

13. Grand Opening – You did it! You are now ready to reap all of the benefits of owning not only your own business, but your own GALC or GALA. It is recommended that Centers open in August with a pre-sell from May through July.

* Grade A Learning Center corporate office has negotiated costs for academic and personalized supplies. Academic materials are adopted and approved at MathMart Corporation corporate office. Initial orders have been pre-placed for your convenience. Detailed vendor order lists will be supplied for future orders.
