Why should I franchise a Grade A Learning Center?

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is the mission of GALC?

The mission of GALC is to reach and surpass a targeted grade level and master skills necessary for higher level achievement.

2. What makes GALC’s approach superior to other tutorial centers?

GALC’s approach is to target a child’s strength, rather than his or her weakness. We utilize a child’s existing knowledge to introduce new material. Unlike the traditional classroom setting, GALC limits each tutorial session to a maximum of two students. This approach enables a child to meet targeted objectives through a ratio not greater than two-to-one. Personalized programs are tailored to provide maximum results in minimal time. Academic subjects are merged to promote writing, comprehension, and problem solving skills simultaneously. Our approach provides a personalized solution to a potentially intimidating academic career. Every child has the ability to succeed and GALC is designed for success.

3. What distinguishes GALC from other tutorial centers?

Many competitive tutorial services often follow a pre-determined program based on chronological pages in a textbook and/or age. GALC frowns upon pre-determined grade level material. The concept of receiving maximum results in minimal time requires us to build individual programs to meet each child’s need. We are confident that our programs not only promote success, but feelings of self-worth and motivation as well.

4. What is the goal of GALC?

The goal of GALC is to surpass the classroom’s expectation and be the first to introduce new material to a child. We aim for the classroom to become the reinforcer of a concept or skill already introduced, practiced, and mastered at GALC. We are confident in our ability to alleviate today's academic pressures and provide successful experiences. Today's Departments of Education demand success and together, we will help children succeed.

5. What are the objectives of GALC?

GALC’s objectives are dependent on the program chosen. Objectives are described in detail in the GALC Manual.

6. Do children need tutoring because they’re not paying attention in school?

Despite whether or not a child is paying attention in school, the overwhelming number of daily academic tasks does not allow a child to receive individual instruction. The problem with today’s Departments of Education is quite simple. Classrooms over overcrowded. Teachers are overworked. There are simply not enough hours in the academic day to complete the mandated curriculum with additional instruction of test-taking skills, writing skills, and higher thinking skill fundamentals. GALC offers these skills accompanied by personalized attention and positive reinforcement. We understand that each child’s learning technique varies. Our personalized programs give students the boost they need. We make school easier by initially introducing new material and allowing the classroom to be the reinforcer of a skill already introduced, practiced, and mastered.

7. What programs and services does GALC offer?

GALC is proud to have built a reputation for superior programs and excelling results. We offer numerous academic programs, each individually personalized to meet the specific needs of a child.

8. What impact will GALC have on a child?

The impact of GALC may be tangibly measured by strong academic grades and heightened standardized test scores. The additional impact that GALC has extends beyond hopeful measures. In addition to improved grades, test scores, study skills, and academic instructional levels, we are confident that GALC programs increase attitudes, self-esteem, motivation, positive behavior, and social skills.

9. Does GALC offer home school services?

GALC offers home school programs based on local county school board curriculum requirements. Lesson plans, targeted objectives, and measured assessments are itemized and documented for school board conformity. Together with GALC, a child will build a personalized portfolio that will ensure academic success.

10. A GALC franchise must be very expensive.

On the contrary, GALC is not only the most effective tutorial center available for franchise, but also the least expensive. We invite our potential Franchisees to compare start up costs to verify that a GALC franchise is extremely more cost effective than competitors.
